✧ What Abu Wa'il Shaqiq b. Salamah narrated from Abdullah

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

لَا أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللهِ، وَلِذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ، وَلَا أَحَدَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللهِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. al-Aʿmash
  4. Abū Wāʾil
  5. ʿAbdullāh
  6. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ No one is more jealous than Allah, and for that reason He prohibited indecencies, what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And no one loves praise more than Allah.
