✧ We came to 'Abdullah in his house. He said: "Have these people prayed?" We said: "No." He said: "Then stand and pray." He did not order us to give the adhan or the iqamah. He said: We went to stand behind him, but he took our hands and positioned us, placing one of us on his right and the other on his left. He said: When he bowed, we placed our hands on our knees, but he struck our hands and clasped his hands together, then inserted them between his thighs. When he finished praying, he said: "There will be rulers over you who will delay the prayer from its time until the glow of the dead. If you see them do that, pray the prayer at its proper time, then make your prayer with them as supererogatory. If you are three, pray together; if you are more than that, let one of you lead. When one of you bows, let him spread his forearms on his thighs, then clasp his hands together. It is as if I am looking at the interlocking of the fingers of the Messenger of Allah."
