حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: نَا أَبِي قَالَ: نَا عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ يَرَوْنَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ

كَانَ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ: " الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا، الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي كَفَانَا وَآوَانَا، الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي أَنْعَمَ عَلَيْنَا وَأَفْضَلَ، نَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَنْ تُجِيرَنَا مِنَ النَّارِ

✧ When he finished his meal, he would say: “Praise be to Allah who fed us and gave us drink. Praise be to Allah who sufficed us and sheltered us. Praise be to Allah who blessed us and bestowed favor upon us. We ask You by Your mercy to protect us from the Fire.”
