حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْكُوفِيُّ قَالَ: نَا ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

شَهِدْتُ حِلْفَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، وَزُهْرَةَ وَتَيْمٍ فَمَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنِّي نَقَضْتُهُ وَلِيَ حُمْرُ النَّعَمِ، وَلَوْ دُعِيتُ بِهِ الْيَوْمَ لَأَجَبْتُ عَلَى أَنْ نَأْمُرَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَنَنْهَى عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَنَأْخُذَ لِلْمَظْلُومِ مِنَ الظَّالِمِ

✧ I witnessed the alliance of Banū Hāshim, Zuhrah, and Taym. It would not please me to break it even in exchange for red camels, and if I were called to it today, I would respond—on the condition that we enjoin good, forbid evil, and secure the rights of the wronged from the wrongdoer.
