machine translationYaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Anṣārī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Sufyān al-Thawrī narrated it from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from ʿAmrah, from ʿĀʾishah: that the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her. Abū Aḥmad al-Zubayrī and Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb said this from him, and others narrate it from al-Thawrī as a statement of a Companion (mawqūf). Likewise Zuhayr b. Muʿāwiyah, ʿAlī b. Mushir, ʿĪsā b. Yūnus and Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Yaḥyā, from ʿAmrah, from ʿĀʾishah, as mawqūf on Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq. ʿAlī b. ʿAbdullāh b. Mubashshir narrated to us, he said: Aḥmad b. Sinān b. Asad al-Qaṭṭān narrated to us, he said: Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb narrated to us, he said: Sufyān al-Thawrī narrated to us, from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from ʿAmrah, from ʿĀʾishah: that the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her while a woman was with her performing ruqyah for her for the ulcer (al-namlah), and he said: "Perform ruqyah for her with the Book of Allah."
