✧ Abu Bakr entered upon me while a Jewish woman was reciting ruqyah over me, and he said: Treat her with the Book of Allah. A Jewish woman came and I gave her a piece of bread, and she said: May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave. The Prophet ﷺ entered and I informed him of her words, and he said: The punishment of the grave is true. I never saw him after any prayer he prayed except that he sought refuge in it from the punishment of the grave.

machine translationHe said: Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd narrates it from ʿAmrah from ʿĀʾishah. Zuhayr, Ibn al-Mubārak, Abū Shihāb, Mālik b. Anas, ʿAlī b. Hāshim, al-Thawrī and others narrated it. Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb narrated it from al-Thawrī and erred in it, saying: from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from ʿAmrah, from ʿĀʾishah, that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Recite ruqyah over her with the Book of God." Aḥmad b. Sinān was alone in narrating it from Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb.
