✧ The sun eclipsed, and she said: The Messenger of God ﷺ stood with the people for a long standing, then bowed and prostrated. When he bowed he said, “God is greater,” and when he raised his head he said, “God hears whoever praises Him.” Then he prayed six rak’ahs in it until men fainted, until buckets of water were poured on them. When the sun cleared, he addressed us, praised God and extolled Him, then said, “The sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death of anyone or for his life, but they are two signs among the signs of God by which He frightens His servants. Whichever of them eclipses, pray until it clears.” And he prayed with them until it cleared.
