حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: / 133 - نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ: نَا أَصْبَغُ، عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:
لَمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ جَاءَتْ نِسَاءُ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ الْأُوَلُ فَشَقَقْنَ مُرُوطَهُنَّ فَاحْتَجَزْنَ بِهِ

✧ When God, Blessed and Exalted, sent down: 'And let them draw their veils over their bosoms,' the women of the early emigrants came and tore their outer garments and used them as headcovers.
