حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، نَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، نَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:
لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي أَخِرُّ فِيمَا بَيْنَ مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَحُجْرَةِ عَائِشَةَ، فَيُغْشَى عَلَيَّ مِنَ الْجُوعِ، فَأُحْمَلُ فَأَقُولُ: لَيْسَ بِي ذَاكَ، إِنَّمَا هُوَ الْجُوعُ
Translation

✧ I saw myself falling down between the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the room of Aisha, and I would faint from hunger. I would be carried, and I would say: “It is not that; it is only hunger.”
