I performed ʿumrah and then ḥajj together (tamattuʿ), and some people forbade me. So I asked Ibn ʿAbbās, and he commanded me to do it. Then I saw in a dream as if a man were saying to me: "An accepted ḥajj and an accepted ʿumrah." So I told Ibn ʿAbbās, and he said: "Allāhu akbar! It is the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ." Abū Jamrah said: Ibn ʿAbbās said: "Stay with me, and I will give you a share of my wealth." Shuʿbah said: I said to him: "Why did he say that to you?" He said: "Because of the dream that I saw."
