( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَيُّوبُ، قَالَ:

كَتَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ بَلَغَنَا: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ. زَادَ: وَإِنَّ أَحْسَنَ مَا يُقْدَرُ لَهُ أَنَّا رَأَيْنَا هِلَالَ شَعْبَانَ لِكَذَا أَوْ كَذَا، وَالصَّوْمُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ لِكَذَا وَكَذَا، إِلَّا أَنْ تَرَوُا الْهِلَالَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ
