( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دَرَسْتَوَيْهِ، ثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثَنَا ابْنُ عُثْمَانَ - يَعْنِي: عَبْدَانَ - أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ - يَعْنِي: ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ - أَنْبَأَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، فَذَكَرَ إِسْنَادَهُ نَحْوَهُ، قَالَ:
أَصَابَ الْأَنْصَارَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ قَرْحٌ وَجَهْدٌ، فَقَالَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَصَابَنَا قَرْحٌ وَجَهْدٌ، فَكَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنَا ؟ قَالَ: احْفِرُوا وَأَوْسِعُوا، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: وَأُرَاهُ قَالَ: " وَأَعْمِقُوا " ثُمَّ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: بَلْ هُوَ هَكَذَا
