machine translationʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Rufayʿ narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ziyād b. ʿAbdullāh al-Bakkāʾī and al-Mughīrah b. Miqsam narrated it, in the narration of Baqiyyah from Shuʿbah from him. Wahb b. Ḥafṣ said, from al-Jadī, from Shuʿbah, from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Rufayʿ, without mentioning al-Mughīrah. Abū Bilāl said, from Abū Bakr b. ʿAyyāsh, from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Rufayʿ. Yaḥyā b. Ḥamzah said, from Hudhayl al-Kūfī, from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Rufayʿ. All of them said: from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah. Likewise ʿUbaydullāh b. Muḥammad al-Firyābī said, from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Rufayʿ. But al-Ḥumaydī opposed him, from Ibn ʿUyaynah, and narrated it as mursal without mentioning Abū Hurayrah. Al-Thawrī likewise narrated it, though there is disagreement about him. Likewise Abū ʿAwānah, Zāʾidah, Sharīk, Jarīr b. ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd and Abū Ḥamzah al-Sukkarī all narrated it from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Rufayʿ, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, as mursal, and that is the sound (ṣaḥīḥ) one.
