أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ السُّلَمِيُّ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأُوَيْسِيُّ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:

كَانَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ يَقُولُ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ: أَفْلَحَ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ حُفِظَ مِنَ الْهَوَى وَالْغَضَبِ وَالطَّمَعِ وَوُفِّقَ إِلَى الصِّدْقِ فِي الْحَدِيثِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ يَجُرُّهُ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ، مَنْ يَكْذِبْ يَفْجُرْ
