Whoever prays a prayer in which he does not recite the Opening of the Book (Fātiḥat al-Kitāb), it is deficient, it is deficient, incomplete. He said: I said: O Abū Hurayrah, sometimes I am behind the imam. He pinched my forearm and said: O Persian, recite it to yourself, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, meaning: "Allah says: I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, so half of it is for Me and half of it is for My servant, and My servant will have what he asks. My servant says: {الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ}. Allah says: My servant has praised Me. Then he says: {الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ}. Allah says: My servant has extolled Me. My servant says: {مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ}. Allah says: My servant has glorified Me, and this verse is between Me and My servant. My servant says: {إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ}. This verse is between Me and him, and the end of the surah is for My servant, and My servant will have what he asks. My servant says: {اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ}

machine translationIbn Samʿān is ʿAbdullāh b. Ziyād b. Samʿān, and he is abandoned in ḥadīth (matrūk al-ḥadīth). A group of trustworthy narrators (thiqāt) narrated this ḥadīth from al-ʿAlāʾ b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, among them Mālik b. Anas, Ibn Jurayj, Rawḥ b. al-Qāsim, Ibn ʿUyaynah, Ibn ʿAjlān, al-Ḥasan b. al-Ḥurr, Abū Uways and others, differing in the chain of transmission but agreeing on the text. None of them mentioned "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" in his ḥadīth. Their agreement against what Ibn Samʿān narrated is more likely to be correct.
