Ibn Abī Mulaykah was asked about wudūʾ, and he said: I saw ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān being asked about wudūʾ, so he called for water. Then he mentioned the hadith, up to where he said: Then he took water and wiped his head and his ears, washing the insides and the outsides of them once. Then he washed his feet and said: Where are those who ask about wudūʾ? Thus I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform wudūʾ.
