( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ، ثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: ( وَثَنَا ) عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ: أَنَّ حَجَّاجَ بْنَ مِنْهَالٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ، قَالَا: ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ:
أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالُوا: ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا يُعَلِّمُنَا السُّنَّةَ وَالْإِسْلَامَ. فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ ؓ فَقَالَ: هَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ
