أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، أَنْبَأَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَنْبَأَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ:

جَاءَتْ بَرِيرَةُ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ ؓ تَسْتَعِينُهَا فِي كِتَابَتِهَا فَقَالَتْ لَهَا إِنْ شَاءَ مَوَالِيكِ أَنْ أَصُبَّ لَهُمْ عَنْكِ ثَمَنَكِ صَبَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأُعْتِقَكِ قَالَتْ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ بَرِيرَةُ لِمَوَالِيهَا فَقَالُوا لَا إِلَّا أَنْ تَشْتَرِطَ لَنَا الْوَلَاءَ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: اشْتَرِيهَا فَإِنَّمَا الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ.
