( قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا ) يَحْيَى، ثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ قَالَ:

أَسْلَمَ دِهْقَانٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ عَيْنِ التَّمْرِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلِيٌّ - ؓ: أَمَّا جِزْيَةُ رَأْسِكَ فَنَرْفَعُهَا، وَأَمَّا أَرْضُكَ فَلِلْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَرَضْنَا لَكَ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ جَعَلْنَاكَ قَهْرَمَانًا لَنَا فَمَا أَخْرَجَ اللهُ مِنْهَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَتَيْتَنَا بِهِ
