أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو نَصْرٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ، أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ اسْتَعْمَلَ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنَ السِّمْطِ عَلَى الْمَدَائِنِ، وَأَبُوهُ بِالشَّامِ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَى عُمَرَ - ؓ: إِنَّكَ تَأْمُرُ أَنْ لَا يُفَرَّقَ بَيْنَ السَّبَايَا، وَبَيْنَ أَوْلَادِهِنَّ، فَإِنَّكَ قَدْ فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنِي، وَبَيْنَ أَبِي، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ، فَأَلْحَقَهُ بِأَبِيهِ
