( حَدَّثَنَا ) أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، أَنْبَأَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ الصَّفَّارُ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ وَعِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ:

أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ وَابْنَ مُطِيعٍ وَعَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَلَّمُوا عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَقَالُوا: لَوْ أَكَلْتَ طَعَامًا طَيِّبًا كَانَ أَقْوَى لَكَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ، قَالَ: أَكُلُّكُمْ عَلَى هَذَا الرَّأْيِ ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا نَاصِحٌ، وَلَكِنْ تَرَكْتُ صَاحِبَيَّ عَلَى جَادَّةٍ فَإِنْ تَرَكْتُ جَادَّتَهُمَا لَمْ أُدْرِكْهُمَا فِي الْمَنْزِلِ، قَالَ: وَأَصَابَ النَّاسَ سَنَةٌ فَمَا أَكَلَ عَامَئِذٍ سَمْنًا وَلَا سَمِينًا حَتَّى أَحْيَا النَّاسُ
