The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed tawaf around the House on a scorching, extremely hot day, and he asked a group of Quraysh for something to drink. He said: "Does any one of you have a drink, so that it may be sent for?" So one of them sent to his house, and a girl came with a vessel containing raisin nabidh. When the Prophet ﷺ saw it, he said: "Why did you not cover it, even with a stick laid across it?" When she brought it near him, he found a strong smell in it, so he frowned and returned the vessel. The man said: "O Messenger of Allah, if it is forbidden, we will not drink it." He asked for the vessel again and did the same, and the man said the same. Then he called for a bucket of Zamzam water and poured it over the vessel, and said: "If its drink becomes too strong for you, do this with it."

machine translationYaḥyā b. Yamān narrates it from al-Thawrī, from Manṣūr, from Khālid b. Saʿīd, from Abū Masʿūd. It is said that Yaḥyā erred in it, and that al-Thawrī only narrated this from al-Kalbī, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from al-Muṭṭalib b. Abī Wadāʿah, from the Prophet ﷺ, and al-Kalbī is abandoned in hadith (matrūk al-ḥadīth). This is not known from the hadith of Manṣūr except through the narration of Yaḥyā b. Yamān from al-Thawrī. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Abān, who is abandoned (matrūk), corroborated him from al-Thawrī, and al-Yasaʿ b. Ismāʿīl, who is weak (ḍaʿīf), also corroborated them both from Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb, from al-Thawrī.
