وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثَنَا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ:

أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ اسْتَبَّا فِي زَمَنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْآخَرِ: مَا أَبِي بِزَانٍ، وَلَا أُمِّي بِزَانِيَةٍ. فَاسْتَشَارَ فِي ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ: مَدَحَ أَبَاهُ وَأُمَّهُ. وَقَالَ آخَرُونَ: كَانَ لِأَبِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ مَدْحٌ سِوَى هَذَا؛ نَرَى أَنْ تَجْلِدَهُ الْحَدَّ. فَجَلَدَهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ الْحَدَّ ثَمَانِينَ
