أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَنْبَسِ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، ( ح ) وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنْبَأَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ سُفْيَانُ، ثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ( ح ) وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ، ثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، أَنْبَأَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ. أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنَ الْأَوْجُهِ الَّتِي ذَكَرْنَاهَا. وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

Saʿd, who is the best memorizer of the group, differed from them, and narrated it from al-Maqburī, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah, and this is the preserved (maḥfūẓ) version, because al-Layth b. Saʿd carefully preserved from al-Maqburī both what he narrated from Abū Hurayrah and what he narrated from his father, from Abū Hurayrah.
