( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ أَبِي حَامِدٍ الْمُقْرِي، قَالَا: ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْبُرُلُّسِيُّ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ وَالْأَسْوَدِ، قَالَا:

كُنَّا عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَمَرَّ بِنَا حُذَيْفَةُ فَقَالَ: لَقَدْ نَزَلَ النِّفَاقُ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَ خَيْرًا مِنْكُمْ. فَقُلْنَا: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، فَضَحِكَ عَبْدُ اللهِ، وَمَضَى، فَمَرَّ بِنَا حُذَيْفَةُ فَرَمَانِي بِالْحَصْبَاءِ فَأَتَيْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ عَلِمَ عِلْمًا، فَضَحِكَ، نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ النِّفَاقُ ثُمَّ تِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ
