أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَحْيَى الزُّهْرِيُّ الْقَاضِي بِمَكَّةَ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِمَنْزِلَةِ صَاحِبِ الشُّرَطِ مِنَ الْأَمِيرِ
