وَأَمَّا الْحَدِيثُ الَّذِي أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بُجَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْظِيٍّ أَخِي بَنِي حَارِثَةَ
قَالَ ابْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ: وَايْمُ اللهِ، مَا كَانَ سَهْلٌ بِأَكْثَرَ عِلْمًا مِنْهُ، وَلَكِنَّهُ كَانَ أَسَنَّ مِنْهُ، إِنَّهُ قَالَ لَهُ: وَاللهِ، مَا هَكَذَا كَانَ الشَّأْنُ، وَلَكِنْ سَهْلٌ أَوْهَمَ، مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ احْلِفُوا عَلَى مَا لَا عِلْمَ لَكُمْ بِهِ، وَلَكِنَّهُ كَتَبَ إِلَى يَهُودِ خَيْبَرَ حِينَ كَلَّمَتْهُ الْأَنْصَارُ: إِنَّهُ وُجِدَ فِيكُمْ قَتِيلٌ بَيْنَ أَبْيَاتِكُمْ فَدُوهُ، فَكَتَبُوا إِلَيْهِ يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللهِ مَا قَتَلُوهُ، وَلَا يَعْلَمُونَ لَهُ قَاتِلًا، فَوَدَاهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ.
