Two women from Hudhayl quarrelled, and one of them caused the other to miscarry her unborn child. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled against her for a ghurrah: a slave or a slave girl. The one against whom the ruling was made said: "How can I pay the blood-money for one who neither drank nor ate nor cried out so as to be heard? Such a one is to be disregarded." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "This man is one of the brothers of the soothsayers." Then the woman against whom the ruling had been made died, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that her inheritance goes to her children and her husband, and that her blood-money is upon her paternal relatives ('aṣabah). And he said: "A hand from among your hands has committed an offence."
