أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، نَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْمُنَادِي، نَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، نَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ:
أَنَّ بَطَّالًا كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَطَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ أَلْفًا فَرُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا كُنْتُ أَلْعَبُ فَعَلَاهُ عُمَرُ ؓ بِالدِّرَّةِ وَقَالَ: إِنْ كَانَ لَيَكْفِيكَ ثَلَاثٌ
