( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، نَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ، نَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، نَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي قَبِيلٍ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
دَخَلَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ وَقَدْ صَبَغَ رَأْسَهُ وَلِحْيَتَهُ بِالسَّوَادِ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ: مَنْ أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ: أَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ قَالَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ: عَهْدِي بِكَ شَيْخًا وَأَنْتَ الْيَوْمَ شَابٌّ عَزَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا مَا خَرَجْتَ فَغَسَلْتَ هَذَا السَّوَادَ
