A woman came to him and said: "What is the right of the husband over his wife?" He said: "She does not refuse him herself, even if she is on the back of a saddle, and she does not give anything from his house except with his permission. If she does that, the reward is his and the burden is hers. And she does not fast a voluntary day except with his permission; if she does that, she is sinful and not rewarded. And she does not leave his house except with his permission; if she does, the angels curse her, the angels of wrath and the angels of mercy, until she repents or returns." It was said: "Even if he is unjust?" He said: "Even if he is unjust."
