( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، ثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَنْبَأَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ؛

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي الْعَبْدِ إِذَا كَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ حُرَّةٌ: فَإِنْ شَاءَ تَزَوَّجَ عَلَيْهَا الْأَمَةَ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ فَلَا
