أَخْبَرَنَاهُ ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ حَيَّةَ الثَّقَفِيِّ، قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُزَوِّجَ إِحْدَى بَنَاتِهِ يَجْلِسُ إِلَى خِدْرِهَا، فَقَالَ لَهَا: إِنَّ فُلَانًا يَذْكُرُ فُلَانَةً، فَإِنْ تَكَلَّمَتْ فَكَرِهَتْ لَمْ يُزَوِّجْهَا، وَإِنْ هِيَ صَمَتَتْ زَوَّجَهَا
