وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ؛ أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ أَبِي اللَّيْثِ حَدَّثَهُمْ، ثَنَا الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ مُهَاجِرِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ:
كَانَ إِذَا خُطِبَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بَعْضُ بَنَاتِهِ أَتَى إِلَى الْخِدْرَ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ فُلَانًا يَخْطُبُ فُلَانَةَ، فَإِنْ حَرَّكَتْهُ لَمْ يُنْكِحْهَا، وَإِنْ لَمْ تُحَرِّكْهُ أَنْكَحَهَا.
