حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقَاصُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

حَقُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ سِتٌّ قَالُوا: وَمَا هُنَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: إِذَا لَقِيكَ فَسَلِّمْ عَلَيْهِ، وَإِذَا دَعَاكَ فَأَجِبْهُ، وَإِذَا اسْتَنْصَحَكَ فَانْصَحْ لَهُ، وَإِذَا عَطَسَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ فَشَمِّتْهُ، وَإِذَا مَرِضَ فَعُدْهُ، وَإِذَا مَاتَ فَاصْحَبْهُ.

✧ The rights of a Muslim upon a Muslim are six. They said: 'And what are they, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'When you meet him, greet him with salam; when he invites you, respond to him; when he seeks your advice, advise him sincerely; when he sneezes and praises Allah, invoke mercy upon him; when he falls ill, visit him; and when he dies, accompany him [to his grave].'
