حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ صَاحِبُ الزِّيَادِيِّ عَنْ شَيْخٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَمُوتُ يَشْهَدُ لَهُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَبْيَاتٍ مِنْ جِيرَانِهِ الْأَدْنَيْنَ بِخَيْرٍ، إِلَّا قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: قَدْ قَبِلْتُ شَهَادَةَ عِبَادِي عَلَى مَا عَلِمُوا، وَغَفَرْتُ لَهُ مَا أَعْلَمُ

Translation

✧ There is no Muslim servant who dies, and three households of his close neighbors bear witness to his goodness, except that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: 'I have accepted the testimony of My servants regarding what they know, and I have forgiven him for what I know.'
