✧ Whoever uses kohl should do so an odd number of times; whoever does so has done well, and whoever does not, no blame is upon him. Whoever uses stones for istijmar should do so an odd number of times; whoever does so has done well, and whoever does not, no blame is upon him. Whoever eats, whatever he picks from between his teeth, let him spit it out; and whatever he removes with his tongue, let him swallow it; whoever does so has done well, and whoever does not, no blame is upon him. Whoever goes to relieve himself should conceal himself; if he finds nothing but to gather a heap of sand, let him turn his back to it, for Satan plays with the posteriors of the children of Adam; whoever does so has done well, and whoever does not, no blame is upon him.
