حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا تَحْتَ ثَنِيَّةِ لَفْتٍ، طَلَعَ عَلَيْنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: انْظُرْ مَنْ هَذَا قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ: " نِعْمَ عَبْدُ اللهِ هَذَا

✧ We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until when we were below the mountain pass of Laft, Khalid b. al-Walid appeared to us from the pass. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Abu Hurayrah: Look who this is. Abu Hurayrah said: Khalid b. al-Walid. The Messenger of Allah said: What an excellent servant of Allah this is.
