حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: " وَقَرَأَ عَلَيْهِ أُبَيٌّ أُمَّ الْقُرْآنِ، فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا أُنْزِلَ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَلَا فِي الْإِنْجِيلِ وَلَا فِي الزَّبُورِ وَلَا فِي الْفُرْقَانِ مِثْلُهَا، إِنَّهَا السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنُ الْعَظِيمُ الَّذِي أُعْطِيتُ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "And Ubayy recited to him the Mother of the Qur'an, and he said: By the One in whose hand is my soul, nothing like it has been sent down in the Torah, nor in the Gospel, nor in the Psalms, nor in the Furqan. It is the seven oft-repeated verses and the great Qur'an that I have been given."
