حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ

إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْ لَا يَرْجُو أَنْ يَلْبَسَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ، إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ

Translation

✧ Only one who has no hope of wearing silk in the Hereafter wears silk in this world; only one with no share (of good) wears silk.

قَالَ الْحَسَنُ فَمَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَبْلُغُهُمْ هَذَا عَنْ نَبِيِّهِمْ؟ فَيَجْعَلُونَ حَرِيرًا فِي ثِيَابِهِمْ وَفِي بُيُوتِهِمْ
