حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ بْنُ فُضَالَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا

عَلَى كُلِّ سُلَامَى مِنِ بَنِي آدَمَ صَدَقَةٌ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ، فَشَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّ سَلَامَكَ عَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَإِمَاطَتَكَ الْأَذَى عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَإِنَّ أَمْرَكَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَإِنَّ نَهْيَكَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ صَدَقَةٌ

Translation

✧ Upon every joint of the son of Adam is charity each morning; this was difficult for the Muslims, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Your greeting of peace upon the servants of Allah is charity, your removing harm from the road is charity, your enjoining good is charity, and your forbidding evil is charity.'
