حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

إِنَّ مَلَكًا بِبَابٍ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ السَّمَاءِ يَقُولُ: مَنْ يُقْرِضِ الْيَوْمَ يُجْزَى غَدًا. وَمَلَكًا بِبَابٍ آخَرَ يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ لِمُنْفِقٍ خَلَفًا، وَعَجِّلْ لِمُمْسِكٍ تَلَفًا

Translation

✧ An angel at one of the gates of heaven says: 'Whoever lends today will be repaid tomorrow.' And an angel at another gate says: 'O Allah, give to the spender a successor, and hasten destruction upon the withholder.'
