حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

إِنَّ رَجُلًا حَمَلَ مَعَهُ خَمْرًا فِي سَفِينَةٍ يَبِيعُهُ وَمَعَهُ قِرْدٌ. قَالَ: فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا بَاعَ الْخَمْرَ شَابَهُ بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ بَاعَهُ. قَالَ: فَأَخَذَ الْقِرْدُ الْكِيسَ فَصَعِدَ بِهِ فَوْقَ الدَّقَلِ. قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ يَطْرَحُ دِينَارًا فِي الْبَحْرِ وَدِينَارًا فِي السَّفِينَةِ حَتَّى قَسَمَهُ

Translation

✧ A man carried wine with him in a ship to sell it, and with him was a monkey. He said: When the man sold the wine, he would mix it with water and then sell it. He said: The monkey took the purse and climbed with it up the mast. He said: It began throwing one dinar into the sea and one dinar into the ship until it had divided it.
