حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَقُرِئَ عَلَيْهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَ أَحَدَكُمْ جَارُهُ أَنْ يَغْرِزَ خَشَبَةً فِي جِدَارِهِ فَلَا يَمْنَعْهُ. فَلَمَّا حَدَّثَهُمْ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ طَأْطَؤُوا رُؤُوسَهُمْ، فَقَالَ: مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ مُعْرِضِينَ، وَاللهِ لَأَرْمِيَنَّ بِهَا بَيْنَ أَكْتَافِكُمْ

Translation

  4. Abū Hurayrah And Quriʾ ʿAlayh
  5. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ If one of you is asked by his neighbor permission to place a wooden beam in his wall, he should not refuse him. When Abu Hurayrah narrated this to them, they lowered their heads. He said, “Why do I see you turning away? By Allah, I will throw it right between your shoulders!”
