  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationDāwūd b. Abī Hind narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Al-Zubaydī narrated it from ʿAdī b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Dāwūd b. Abī Hind, from al-ʿAbbās, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Yazīd b. Hārūn and ʿAlī b. ʿĀṣim narrated it from Dāwūd as a statement of the Companion (mawqūf). Its attribution to the Prophet (raf') is sound (ṣaḥīḥ), because Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab attributed it to the Prophet from Abū Hurayrah, and likewise al-ʿAlāʾ attributed it from his father, from Abū Hurayrah.
