حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

مَا نَقَصَتْ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ مَالٍ، وَلَا عَفَا رَجُلٌ عَنْ مَظْلَمَةٍ إِلَّا زَادَهُ اللهُ بِهَا عِزًّا، وَلَا تَوَاضَعَ عَبْدٌ لِلهِ إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ. وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ: رَجُلٌ أَوْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ

✧ Charity does not decrease wealth, and no one forgives an act of injustice except that Allah increases him in honor thereby, and no servant humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises him. Ibn Ja'far said: 'a man' or 'anyone' except that Allah raises him.
