Translation

✧ I set out with my father towards the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When I saw him, my father said: "Do you know who this is?" I said: "No." He said: "This is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said: I shuddered when he said that, and I used to think that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was something that did not resemble people. And behold, he was a human with a flowing head of hair, with traces of henna in it, wearing two green garments. My father greeted him, then we sat and talked for a while. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to my father: "Is this your son?" He said: "Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah." He said: "Truly?" He said: "I bear witness to it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled, laughing at the confirmation of my resemblance to my father and at my father's oath about me. Then he said: "Verily, he will not be guilty of a crime against you, nor will you be guilty of a crime against him." And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited: "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." Then he looked at something like a growth between his shoulders, and my father said: "O Messenger of Allah, I am as skilled as any physician. Shall I treat it for you?" He said: "No. Its physician is the One who created it."
