✧ Shall I inform you of the best verse in the Book of God Almighty, which the Messenger of God ﷺ told us? 'Whatever misfortune befalls you is because of what your own hands have earned, and He pardons much.' I will explain it to you, O 'Ali: whatever afflicts you of illness, punishment, or trial in this world is because of what your hands have earned. God Almighty is too generous to double the punishment for them in the Hereafter. And whatever God Almighty pardons in this world, God Almighty is too forbearing to return after His pardon.
