✧ It has reached us that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ threw the first jamrah that is next to the mosque, he threw it with seven pebbles, saying takbir with each pebble. Then he stood before it, facing the House, raising his hands and supplicating, and he would lengthen the standing. Then he threw the second one with seven pebbles, saying takbir with each pebble. Then he turned to the left toward the bottom of the valley, stood facing the qiblah, raising his hands and supplicating. Then he went on until he came to the jamrah near the Aqabah, and threw it with seven pebbles, saying takbir with each pebble. Then he departed without stopping. Al-Zuhri said: I heard Salim narrating from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet ﷺ, the like of this, and Ibn Umar used to do the same.
