✧ Ibn Umar taught him that when the Messenger of God ﷺ mounted his camel for a journey, he said Allahu akbar three times, then said: Glory be to Him who has subjected this to us, and we were not capable of it ourselves. And to our Lord we shall return. O God, we ask You in this journey of ours for righteousness and piety, and for deeds that please You. O God, make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance. O God, You are the Companion on the journey and the Guardian over the family. O God, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of travel, the gloom of returning, and from an evil sight in family and property. When he returned, he said the same and added: Returning, repentant, worshiping, and to our Lord we are grateful.
